The High Tech Maui Holiday Career Fair is held annually in December at the Maui Research & Tech Park in Kihei.
The career event offers job seekers a chance to meet and discuss their qualifications in person with top STEM employers on Maui. At the same time, it offers employers the unique opportunity to relay company information and recruit Hawaii-born students and former residents who come home for the holidays.
Positions such as computer operators, software developers, junior/senior level scientists, Web developers, network technicians and engineers and database administrators are usually in high demand.
In recent years, Maui Economic Development Board’s Women in Technology Project (WIT) has partnered with Jon Sakurai-Horita of Kama’aina Careers and the Maui County Workforce Investment Board to host the event.
Participating employers at recent High Tech Maui Career Fairs have included Akimeka, The Boeing Company, County of Maui, Goodfellow Brothers Inc., High Tech Maui, Hnu Photonics, Kama’aina Careers, Lockheed Martin, Maui High Performance Computing Center, Monsanto, Oceanit, Pacific Disaster Center, Women in Technology Project, Workforce Development Division - Department of Labor and Industrial Relations.
