Sharing Student ArcGIS Maps Safely Online

MEDB Women in Technology hopes that you are able to utilize Esri’s ArcGIS resources for your school (made available free to all K-12 private, public and charter schools through a partnership with Esri, the Hawaii DOE, and MEDB Women In Technology.

Esri’s Education Manager, Charlie Fitzpatrick, offers some great advice to help you share your students’ work while minimizing personally identifiable information:

Got interesting student-made maps? Share them! You can, via ArcGIS Online Organizations, while controlling exposure of personally identifiable info (“PII“). Success depends on students minimizing PII in the content, Org admins creating a login for sharing, and having a location to share.
