STEMworks™ Spotlight

STEMworks™ Spotlight

Purpose: Celebrates every STEMworks™ lab’s accomplishments throughout the state! Showcase your STEMworks™ lab directly to industry professionals, dignitaries/legislative members, funders, student peers, teachers, and various local and national companies. Practice direct presentation, communication and collaboration with the community.

What: STEMworks™ Spotlight is designed as a talk-story session to showcase your STEMworks lab. The community asks questions to Spotlight students about their projects. To jumpstart conversations, be prepared to deliver a polished elevator pitch - a short description (approximately 2 minutes) summarizing your STEMworks™ lab. From there, informal question, answer and sharing will take place. Use evidence (materials) on table for talking points.

This year’s STEMworks™ Spotlight will take place in the same room and timeslot as the Playground Session.
