MEDB’s Women in Technology Program (WIT) has partnered with ESRI and the Hawai’i Department of Education to make ESRI’s Virtual Campus courses available to Hawai’i teachers and students FREE OF CHARGE. You may take these courses any time, at your own pace, and online from the comfort of your own home. Download a pdf of the Virtual Campus handout.

HOW TO GET STARTED

  1. First, create an Esri Global Account.
  2. Next, browse through the many Virtual Campus Web Courses and Training Seminars offered by Esri (see below chart).
    Self-Paced Online Training
    Virtual Campus Web Course
    Includes conceptual material and presentations, hands-on software exercises, and an exam. Complete list of courses Hawai’i teachers & students may apply for a passcode to take any of these courses FREE OF CHARGE Apply for passcode
    Access to the appropriate ArcGIS software is required to complete course exercises. Free Courses Free courses DO NOT require passcode.
    Virtual Campus Training Seminar
    A free, one-hour recorded presentation that includes software demonstrations and question and answer sessions with an Esri subject matter expert. Complete list of courses Free courses DO NOT require passcode.

    IMPORTANT NOTE: Instructor-led courses are not included in available “FREE” courses.

  3. Self-register for any free course available.
  4. To access fee-based courses “FREE OF CHARGE”, apply for a passcode by submitting your name, contact information, residency status, and the complete TITLE of the course you wish to take.
